Word has it that Air Asia will be giving free seats to Bangkok this Friday! This is in response to the recent political troubles that Thailand had the past two months.

AirAsia group chief executive officer Datuk Seri Tony Fernandes said AirAsia would agressively market Bangkok as well as its other Thai destinations with low fares and attractive promotions.

“AirAsia is an Asean airline and we feel duty-bound to support the various communities of the region, including Thailand.

“The Asean region is our home and we are putting 110% effort in helping Thailand bounce back,” he said during a media visit to Thailand Wednesday.

The visit was part of the campaign to attract tourists back to Thailand after the Thai army dispersed anti-government protesters who shut down the centre of Bangkok.
